FIRE & FAMILY: Dear mum, dear dad...

Dream day in the dream house

...We have settled in well in the new house and are enjoying the space, the peace and the garden. Mia has now slept in every room (accompanied by all her cuddly toys), and little Max is beaming as brightly as the sun every day in his first summer.

Barbecue with baby

Yesterday we inaugurated the terrace, the motto was "fire". Everyone in the family was allowed to choose something to eat (except Max, who watched and enjoyed the spectacle). We got CUBE for the terrace, a fire basket made of stainless steel. You can also use it for grilling. Phil got the right cast iron plate for it, which you simply hang in the basket over the fire.

Pancakes with Dad

Afterwards we baked pancakes over the open fire, that was a real highlight. Max was hypnotized by the procedure and the flames. Mia was allowed to sugar the cakes over the fire, and I… well, you know me: pancakes with fresh berries, that's what makes me happy. You might have already guessed what Mia wanted to eat. She searched the garden for suitable sticks in the morning.

Mia and the marshmallows

To round off the day, we stoked the fire again in the evening and grilled marshmallows together. Luckily, with CUBE it's really suitable for families. The basket does get hot, but it's absolutely stable, so no child can accidentally knock it over, even if things get a little wild. In addition, the inner bowl is hung in such a way that it always stays straight. You can simply turn the basket over, and the fire is covered and can go out in peace. I find that very reassuring.
