
Cheese Taco Dip

For every important game you need an exceptional dip. This taco dip is the cheesiest, most delicious dip you've ever tasted. Baked until bubbly, stuffed with ground beef and garnished with jalapeños and cilantro, you won't be able to resist this deliciousness. You should serve this hot dip with a large bowl of tortilla chips. This means you are definitely one of the winners. The best part: You can prepare this gluten-free snack in advance.
INGREDIENTS
- 450 g ground beef
- 3 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 pack of cream cheese, room temperature
- 4 cups grated cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, mozzarella, etc. to taste)
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups salsa
- 1-3 jalapeño peppers, diced + more for garnish
- 1 handful of coriander or chopped spring onions for garnish
PREPARATION
- Fry the ground beef with 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning. Drain and set aside to cool.
- In a bowl with a hand mixer, combine cream cheese, 2 cups shredded cheese of your choice, garlic and remaining taco seasoning. Add enough sour cream to thicken (no more than 1/4 cup).
- Preheat the grill to 180-200°C and prepare for indirect grilling.
- Spread the cheese mixture into a baking dish or baking dish (23 x 33 cm). Spread the ground beef over the cheese mixture. Top the ground beef with a layer of sour cream and jalapeño peppers, followed by the salsa. Finally, add the remaining grated cheese on top.
- Bake on the grill until the inside is hot and bubbling and the top is golden brown and crispy (about 30 minutes - or until you can't wait to try this deliciousness).
- Serve garnished with additional jalapeños, fresh cilantro, sliced spring onions or anything else you like. And of course with lots of tortilla chips.
The combination of different snacks popular with sports fans, e.g. B. my taco pizza recipe has always been very popular. This time I also had to whip up a dip for game day. This (Mexican-inspired) taco dip is perfect for a cold-weather parking lot party. It's also good on chili. However, have enough napkins ready or serve with a plate and spoon.
